Tours of the Olympic Park area

London’s Olympic and Paralympic Games were widely acclaimed as the best yet.
You can go and visit the area where the world’s greatest sporting events took place. More than 80,000 people have taken our walks since they were launched in 2009.

When: 11.00hrs & 14.00hrs every day.
Where: Bromley-by-Bow underground station (District/Hammersmith and City lines)
Cost: £9 Adults, £7 seniors & students with ID card, £5 per child U16.
Payment: on the day, in cash, directly to our guide.
To Book: Booking is preferable so we have an idea of numbers and how many guides to have available.

To reserve a place on a morning, or afternoon walk please book online

The Walks last about 2 hours and finishes overlooking the Park at Westfield Stratford City.
There are many transport options from Stratford Regional & International Stations (zone 3).
The route taken is mainly off the road, much of it along a tow path in the former industrial Lower Lea Valley. Your guide will then lead you to a footpath which goes alongside the Olympic park perimeter fence. From here there are views of the Olympic stadium and other 2012 constructions such as the Aquatics Centre and The Orbit.

Curiosity: Following agreement with and permission from, Her Majesty the Queen, the British Olympic Association and the International Olympic Committee, the London Legacy Development Corporation is pleased to announce that from 2013 the Olympic site will be named the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Have a good trip and don't forget to take a lot of photos! Then you can share with us on our Facebook and Twitter page!

Whether you’re a Londoner by birth or by heart, don’t let the Games get you down. Boutique London Lets have put together a list of handy tips to keep you smiling during the Olympics, as well as information regarding the best way to plan your journey. The Olympics needn’t be a burden or a hassle – let Boutique London Lets guide you, stress free through the most exciting event of the year!

London is expecting to host 5.3 million visitors during August and September, and our world famous transport system is set to be jam packed full of spectators, tourists and commuters. Transport for London are working hard to provide an efficient service, and have developed getaheadofthegames.com – make use of the interactive map to spot highlight the worst routes at a specific time; in general, public transport will be especially busy at the beginning and end of sporting sessions.

If you have booked to see an event, it is important to remember that there will be little or no parking at Olympic venues – public transport is undoubtedly your best option. Transport for London has a handy journey-planning tool to cut down travel time and make your movements across the city as easy as possible.

Sign up for free travel alerts on the Transport for London website – these will inform you of any delays upon the Tube or Docklands Light Railway service.

Whilst public transport is the recommended option, walk whenever possible. The Mayor of London has recently introduced a bicycle hire system, to ease pressure on the transport system and get people moving! Although demand for the Barclay’s bicycle hire will be high, hire stations may be close to events, and should cut down your overall journey time.

For detailed information on all Olympic athletes, sports and venues, as well as information regarding the stations to avoid, have a look at London 2012, the official London 2012 Olympic website.

London 2012 Olympics – on the cheap and right now

Planned your trip to London nine months too early? You don't need to miss out on the capital's niche sports even if you won't be with us for the 2012 Olympics next summer. Do your research beforehand and you can pick up a bargain.

Here's an example: this weekend I went to York Hall in Bethnal Green, East London to watch the GB Amateur Boxing Championships for just £10 for a whole afternoon of boxing. There's lots of matches and tournaments around the city all year long so just because the Olympics events have sold out doesn't mean you can't watch this fascinating sport while you're in London.
